Exhaust jacks are the perfect recovery item for any off road traveller exploring areas where soft sand, snow & mud might be encountered. When a vehicle gets bogged in these conditions a normal jack is useless as it will sink into the ground.
The Mean Mother Exhaust Jack can raise a vehicle high enough so you are able to position rocks, wood or other objects to assist in creating traction for the wheels. It works by using the vehicle's exhaust gases from the tailpipe to inflate the air bag. Alternatively it can be inflated using an onboard or portable air compressor.
4000kg maximum gross vehicle mass (GVM)
The air jack bag features a toughened double layer reinforced lifting surface which provides stability and control when raising a vehicle. Constructed from heavy duty high tenacity nylon, it's coated with plasticised PVC to provide maximum strength and resistance against tearing.
Special triangular feet built into the base provide superior grip and maximum grounding in all conditions. Exhaust jacks are not an alternative to the vehicle's factory supplied jack, they are a serious recovery product.
Note: The jack relies on pressure from the exhaust system for inflation, therefore the exhaust must not have any holes, spot-welded chrome extensions or gas leaks otherwise it will not be able to build up enough pressure to inflate the bag and lift the vehicle.
An exhaust jack is a really cool tool that uses your vehicle's exhaust to lift and support it. It's kind of like a regular hydraulic jack, but instead of using oil or water pressure to lift the car, it uses the power of your exhaust.
Here's how it works: you connect the hose to your exhaust, and place the exhaust jack under your car, 4x4, or SUV. Start the engine and as the exhaust gases are expelled, they run through the hose and fill up a chamber in the jack. This creates pressure that lifts the vehicle. It's a pretty simple and effective way to get your ride off the ground.
Exhaust jacks are great for off-road situations where you might not have access to a regular hydraulic jack, or if your car is stuck on an uneven surface. They're a handy tool to have in your recovery kit, and they can be a real lifesaver when you need to get your vehicle out of a tough spot. Plus, they're really easy to use.

The winch is good but had to upgrade the wiring that came with it. The winch hit a peak of 125 amps pulling my 5 mtr side console onto the trailer.
It seemed to do it easy, but the standard wiring was way too hot afterward for my liking.
I use my boat a lot so I wanted to make sure the winch could pull all the power it wants with no issues.
Batteries supplying the winch are 2 x 200-amp hour lithium’s (LifePo4) wired in parallel that give a combined continuous peak amp output of up to 205 amps for 5 mins.
Upgraded all the wiring to 0 AWG ultra-high current marine power cable capable of handling 200amps and changed over to 175 amp rated Anderson plugs.
Housed the solenoid and rocker switch in a waterproof switch box with cable glands for cabling and mounted it to the trailer.
It wasn’t cheap at around $600 for the upgraded cabling, terminal lugs, heat shrink and waterproof housing, but it was well and truly worth it.
Went away fishing and put the boat on and off the trailer everyday for 8 days. At one particularly steep ramp with wind and current playing havoc the winch didn’t miss a beat.
