Accommodations range from basic campsites and lodges to luxurious tented camps and five-star resorts. Most offer amenities like en-suite bathrooms, comfortable beds, and fine dining. The vehicle you'll be provided will also come fully equipted with all necessary camping equipment (including rooftop tents etc).
Our range of Safaris are very suitable for children from 6 years upwards. provided they are mobile and in good health.
Yes, travel insurance is essential. It is a condition of your booking that you are adequately insured for the duration of your trip. We recommend comprehensive travel insurance to cover cancellation, medical expenses and requirements, luggage, repatriations, and additional expenses. The choice of insurer is yours. We strongly suggest you purchase insurance at the time you pay your deposit. This is because cancellation fees and charges are payable from that time.

The tours currently offered by 4x4 Down Under all have their start point at Johannesburg International Airport. Cape Town and other major cities all have daily connecting flights to Johannesburg.

To secure camping sites, venues and lodges, as well as vehicles, it is strongly advised to make early bookings.
At the time of initial booking a deposit of 25% is required. Final payment is required 60 days before start of tour.
