The Saber Offroad 17k Sheath Shackle is a lightweight and strong alternative to traditional metal shackles. Constructed from SaberPro fiber, the shackle is designed to be both safer and easier to use than metal shackles. With a minimum breaking strength of 17,000kg, the shackle can be used in a wide range of applications.
The sheath shackle is designed to be rope friendly, making it a perfect match with the Saber Offroad Recovery Hitch. This hitch has been specifically designed to provide a safe and strong way to attach your kinetic ropes for a vehicle recovery. With its larger bend radius, the hitch removes the requirement for metal shackles, allowing you to use soft shackles instead.
The Saber Rope Friendly Recovery Hitch has been tested to 35,000kg (77,000lbs) without deformation or breaking. It allows multidirectional pull in both vertical and horizontal axis, and can be turned through 90 degrees should the angle of the recovery require it. The hitch is constructed from cast steel and is shot peened and heat-treated for added strength and durability.
To use the Saber Offroad 17k Sheath Shackle and Recovery Hitch, simply attach the shackle to the hitch using the vertical and horizontal holes. Then attach the kinetic rope to the shackle and begin the recovery process. The sheath shackle is designed to be easy to use, lightweight and safer than metal shackles, making it an essential piece of recovery equipment for any off-road enthusiast.
The 18,000kg Soft Shackle with Protective Sheath by Saber Offroad is an alternative to metal shackles that offers increased safety, strength, and ease of use. It is rated to a minimum breaking strength of 18,000kg and is made from SaberPro Fiber for durability. This soft shackle can be used in various applications, including vehicle recovery, marine, and agriculture.
The protective sheath is abrasion-resistant and offers high impact resistance, ensuring that the SaberPro Fiber is not damaged during use. The shackle has been tested to destruction in a NATA accredited facility in Melbourne, and Saber Offroad claims that their products perform at a superior level compared to competitors.
Overall, this soft shackle with protective sheath is designed to be a reliable and durable alternative to the traditional steel shackles.
We're Australians, and we like to support our fellow Australians, which is why all our products are sourced locally from the official Australian distributors. Nothing is imported directly and we don't stock any grey imports. This also means that all manufacturer warranties are fully honored by the brands themselves.

The winch is good but had to upgrade the wiring that came with it. The winch hit a peak of 125 amps pulling my 5 mtr side console onto the trailer.
It seemed to do it easy, but the standard wiring was way too hot afterward for my liking.
I use my boat a lot so I wanted to make sure the winch could pull all the power it wants with no issues.
Batteries supplying the winch are 2 x 200-amp hour lithium’s (LifePo4) wired in parallel that give a combined continuous peak amp output of up to 205 amps for 5 mins.
Upgraded all the wiring to 0 AWG ultra-high current marine power cable capable of handling 200amps and changed over to 175 amp rated Anderson plugs.
Housed the solenoid and rocker switch in a waterproof switch box with cable glands for cabling and mounted it to the trailer.
It wasn’t cheap at around $600 for the upgraded cabling, terminal lugs, heat shrink and waterproof housing, but it was well and truly worth it.
Went away fishing and put the boat on and off the trailer everyday for 8 days. At one particularly steep ramp with wind and current playing havoc the winch didn’t miss a beat.
